Mike Monahan of Missoula defeated Butte native and Missoula resident Rick Harrington 21-9, 21-14 to win the Open/Masters Division of the 23rd Annual Bill Ryan Memorial Handball Tournament on Sunday at the Butte Elks courts.

Chris McVeigh, of Butte, downed Dan Scilley for third in the Open/Masters Division.

Butte’s Dan Bersanti emerged triumphant in the A Division by beating Brian Hamilton in three sets. Mining City handballers Brett Badovinac and Frankie Shields squared off in the A Division third-place match. Badovinac won 21-6, 21-9.

Butte’s Scott Salo defended his title in the Golden Masters division by defeating Frank Cikan of Bozeman 17-21, 21-17, 11-2. Phil Keating battled back in the third-place match in Golden Master Consolation after a 21-14 first set defeat, he rallied to win the next two 21-12 and 11-10.
