Andy Tucknott of Missoula claimed the Montana State Singles Handball Tournament men’s open title Sunday afternoon at the Butte Elks. Tucknott defeated Butte’s Brett Badovinac in two sets for the win. Badovinac was the first Butte player to compete in the title match for more than 10 years.

Missoula also claimed the A division gold with Sky Peters topping Bozeman’s Nick White by scores of 21-10, 21-13.

Eric Aschim of Missoula walked away with the B Division title with a win against Butte’s Steve Salo.

The Mining City claimed the Masters Division title with Pat Huff tilting Steve Maier of Missoula in a two-set match.

Chris McVeigh of Butte triumphed in the third-place match for that division.

Mike Barragan of Lakeside took the golden masters division with a close two set win against Butte’s Dan Bersanti.

Mike Meyer of Billings came away with the super golden masters title in one of the more exciting championship matches. He defeated Frank Cikan 11-6 in the rubber set.

John Chapman of Missoula walked away with the junior title after losing his first set against Christian Corgiat.
